I use VaultPress. As with almost every other web app, WordPress stores information in a database. There’s always a chance that your data could be lost or corrupted, and it’s wise to have a solid backup strategy in place. VaultPress does the job for me.
Yes, I back up my blog using a VaultPress. I’m about to switch, mostly because it’s expensive, and I can get the same service cheaper.
To me it’s very important to back up, not that I need to save everything, because I have written a lot of terrible things.. but on the other hand, I have used a lot of time on my blog, and I would hate for everything to be gone.
Well, good point but since I have a free site, I’m just waiting for them to pull the plug any day now. Although, I don’t think there is anything I would miss terribly, there might be a time I would like to be able to go back to it.

It really comes down to whether you have material there that you want to hold onto.
If you don’t care about the content than it is no big deal. BTW, that wasn’t sarcastic.
I have blogs out there that I haven’t backed up because the content isn’t important to me, but the other ones….
Wasn’t Shankar…

Hi Vanita,
Go for it. It is a lot of fun and something that gets better over time. Practice makes a significant difference.
